Lulani offers the most popular and highest quality faucet finishes. The most common is Polished Chrome, but we also offer Brushed Nickel, Brushed Stainless Steel, Champagne Gold, Brushed Gold, Rose Gold, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Gunmetal, Steel Black and Matte Black.                  Electroplating – Polished Chrome and Brushed Nickel are electroplated finishes. This process is the well-established traditional way of finishing faucets. Typically these finishes are much easier to match with accessories. Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) -  Lulani offers 5 PVD finishes: Brushed Gold, Champagne Gold, Rose Gold, Gunmetal and Steel Black.  PVD is the latest faucet finishing technology, becoming the finish of choice. The finish is dense and extremely hard. In abrasion tests, PVD finishes are found to be 10 to 20 times more scratch-resistant and durable than standard electroplating. PVD is considerably higher priced than alternative finish options. Color options are more limited than powder coating or painting. Color matching could also be more difficult. Powder Coating and Painting - Powder coating and painting create finishes in colors not possible using other finishing technologies, including just about every color in the rainbow and finishes that emulate stone and other textures. It is by far the most flexible and adaptable of the finish technologies. Sometimes characterized as "semi-durable", they are not as durable as electroplated or PVD metallic finishes but allow colors and finish effects that metal finishes cannot easily duplicate. These finishes are less harmful to the environment. Non-Living Finish – 

Lulani Brushed Stainless steel faucets are considered a non-living finish. Lulani uses high quality 304 Stainless steel which does not require a finish to protect the material.  Stainless steel is naturally lead free has good corrosion resistance, contains some antimicrobial properties and is generally very durable. However, the surfaces can dull over time depending on the environmental factors involved and how well they are cared for. Stainless steel is a more expensive material and is more difficult to manufacturer.  100% recyclable. Brushed nickel hardware and accessories are typically used to compliment brushed stainless steel.
